I don’t even know how long it’s been since I posted, but I know it’s been way too long. Sorry guys.
Most of my time since last post has been spent thinking about decidedly more serious things than Singapore and terrorism. For example: “Is it time to switch from beer to cocktails?” and “Should I have a morning or afternoon massage? In the treehouse or by the pool? Is one a day REALLY enough??? DAMN! TOO MUCH STRESS!” Yes, Pangkil Island is no place for an indecisive luxophobe like myself. It is, however, a place where a simple group of 25 people can have an amazing time together, and where people’s dreams of singing Roxette songs at the top of their lungs to unsuspecting Indonesian ferry goers really can come true.
But it hasn’t all been fun and games. I actually got invited to interview for a job. Which I didn’t even know about. Or attend the presentation for. Can you believe that? I think it’s hilarious, but I’m secretly excited (SHHHHH!). I’ve never actually had a real job interview before, so I’m really curious what it’s all about. I’ve even started preparing! I get such a kick out of myself…
I just want to quickly thank my partners (or, really, supervisors) on the SFTM project: Iain, Will and Erik, and my colleague Pauline. I had a blast working on that and really hope everyone enjoyed it. If you were offended by anything, Will wrote that article.
